What is mantrailing and why do dogs love it?
Mantrailing is the art of teaching a pet dog to track a specific human scent across varied terrain - through woodlands, open fields, pavements and car parks. Each human sheds thousands of microscopic scent rafts every minute. Dogs possess up to 300 million olfactory receptors (compared to our 6 million), making scent discrimination their most powerful natural instinct.
Instead of fighting against your dog's urge to sniff and pull, mantrailing harnesses that drive productively. The dog wears a distinct working harness and long line, catches the scent from a sterile article of clothing, and hunts down the 'missing' person. When they find them, they are showered with high-value treats or their absolute favourite toy.

Introduction Workshop Requirement
Sessions are open to those who have attended an Introduction Workshop with a Mantrailing Global Instructor. This ensures both dog and handler understand the basic scent methodology, harness cues and line handling before joining progression trailing groups.
Venues & Refreshments
We use varied scenic outdoor venues across Bridgend and South Wales. Some venues have public facilities (toilets, running water), while others do not. We advise all attendees to bring their own drinks, hot flasks, snacks, and extra water for their dogs.
